Pradeep Bachhav joined as a full time college librarian since April 2013. He has completed his MLISc from Department of Library and Information Science Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Pradeep Bachhav has area of interest in Library Cataloguing, Library Automation, Open-Source ILMS, Digital Libraries, Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Libraries. 

About Library

       

  • Library was established along with the college in 1974 inside the old building of college
  • Separate Building was built-up during the XI plan and extension of building was done in XII Plan.
  • Total Built-up area of the library is 8320 Sq. Ft.
  • Ex. Librarian was Mr. A. B. Shaikh
  • In 2005 Library Started its automation using SOUL 1.0 
  • In 2014 Library upgraded SOUL 1.0 to SOUL 2.0
  • Since 2019 it is fully automation using Open Source ILMS - Koha



Rules And Regulation

     General Rules : 

  • Keep Silence in the Library Premises
  • Keep your mobile phone/tablet/laptop and other communication devices on silent mode
  • Do not torn library reading material
  • Do not tear or write or mark anything on library books
  • Do not waste light, water and other natural resources in the library
  • Do not disturb shelving order of library reading materials
  • Use OPAC computers only for searching the library resources and not for personal use
  • Do not eat or drink in the library
  • Do not adjust library furniture as per your needs
  • Magazines, Journals, Newspapers are not allowed to take out from their tables/shelves alloted for reading.
  • If you are visitor then take permission of librarian before entering into the library stackroom.
  • Do not share your ID/Library Card with anyone


      Transaction Rules : 

  • Students are allowed to lend a book for seven days
  • Students are allowed to renew a book for two times
  • Teachers can borrow their respective teaching subject collection as per their course requirement.
  • Teachers are not allowed to borrow those textbooks which are available in specimen copies
  • Teacher should return/renew all belonging after completion of semester/course
  • External members can borrow TWO books excluding textbooks for fifteen days
  • Administrative staff can borrow seven books at a time excluding textbooks/course reserves
  • One Rupee per day will be charged to all types of users on late returning of library resources
  • Losing rare/reference material could be charged as per library committee decision
  • UG/PG/Ph.D. students can apply for remote access to e-resources subscribed by the library
  • Do not share your credentials to anyone otherwise your access to e-resources will be blocked immediately
  • DELNET e-resources could be accessed only from Library / College premises
