About Department

The Department of Philosophy & Logic was established on June, 1976. This department is one of the integral part of Akole Taluka Education Society’s Agasti Arts, Commerce & Dadasaheb Rupwate Science College, Akole. In this college there are sufficient students who have been learning philosophy as their General subject. The Department has two faculty members, Asst. Prof Dr. Vijay Shedage (Head) and Asst. Prof Dr. Dhanraj Hadule.  The department had Dr. V. K. Bankar (1975-2012) who has been retired as the head of the department in 2012. The faculties in the department are well qualified and devoted in teaching as well as research activities.  However, the department has organised student centric various activities like webinars, conferences and workshops at national and international levels.

Objectives of the department of Philosophy & Logic :

1. To carry out the goals set by the College/Institution.
2. Help them towards better job opportunities.
3. To develop the moral consciousness among the students.
4. To empower the students to lead the society.
5. To inculcate the moral and human values.
6. To analyze the philosophical, moral and logical concepts and theories which will be applicable in our day to day life.
7. To understand the any culture through philosophy.
